KAWASAKI, Minn.
(AP) A man is recovering in the hospital after being pulled over by a police officer in northern Minnesota after he was reported to be running a red light.
The Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan Police Department says the man was pulled over Wednesday afternoon on a Minnesota interstate near the border with Iowa.
A police report says the officer stopped the car for a traffic violation and then pulled the driver over on Interstate 35.
The driver was taken to the hospital with injuries to his head, face and hands.
He’s being treated at a hospital in Minneapolis, where the report says he’s listed in stable condition.
